Every activity in a course, graded or not, should be considered an opportunity to deepen students’ learning and is thus a teaching strategy. Teaching strategies should align with learning outcomes and provide students with opportunities to practice the knowledge and skills they will need to demonstrate when doing the assessments. When selecting teaching strategies, it is also important to have your course context in mind.
