Grant or revoke awards in myCourses

Manually grant an award

Awards that are associated with release conditions will be automatically issued to students when they meet specific criteria. For other awards (e.g., completing an in-person assessment), you may have to manually grant badges and certificates. 

  1. Add the Awards tool to your Navigation Bar, or navigate to Course Admin and select Awards under the Assessment heading.

  2. Select the Classlist Awards tab.

  3. Select the checkbox beside one or more student names and click Issue. Use the Search classlist function to locate a specific student.

  4. Select an Award from the dropdown menu. 

  5. Enter a rationale for the award in the Award Criteria field. This information will be displayed to students.

  6. Click Issue.

Revoke an award

In some situations, you may have to revoke a previously issued award. In some cases, you may want to revoke a previously granted award. 

  1. Add the Awards tool to your Navigation Bar, or navigate to Course Admin and select Awards under the Assessment heading.

  2. Select the Classlist Awards tab.

  3. Select the checkbox beside one or more student names and click Revoke. Use the Search classlist function to locate a specific student.

  4. Select an Award from the dropdown menu. 

  5. Enter an explanation in the Revoke Reason field. This information will be displayed to students.

  6. Click Revoke.
