How to request an official CCR
Target audience: All students (undergraduate and graduate)
Overview: This article gives an overview of what an official CCR is about and how students can obtain it.
What is an official CCR for?
McGill CaPS provides an official document validating a student’s achievement and involvement through McGill’s defined Co-Curricular programming. Â
An official CCR is generally used when applying to graduate/professional programs, internships, grants or employment.
An official CCR is sent by an Officer directly to the authoritative agencies indicated on your application.Â
How to ask for an official CCR?
As a student you can ask for an official CCR by filling out an online application at this link. You must log in with your McGill email address to submit the application form.Â
The form asks for your basic information (name and McGill email) and the recipients/agencies you would like the official CCR to be sent to.
It is required to fill out a minimum of one (1) recipient/agency name and the recipient's email address. The application file number and application document submission deadline are optional fields. Maximum five recipients/agencies are allowed to be included on each form.Â
Note that CaPS only sends the official CCR to authorized recipients/agencies.
What should I expect after my application is submitted?
You should wait minimum 2 weeks for an Officer to process and approve your application. Once your application is approved, the Officer will send your official CCR to the recipients you supplied in the application.  A notification email will also be sent to you once it is completed. Â
How do I follow up my application status?
You may follow up the status of your application or send your questions to:Â myinvolvement@mcgill.ca
