Navigating myInvolvement

1. Home

When users sign in, they will be redirected to their myInvolvement HOME page.

The home page contains helpful overviews, such as:

• Announcements: Administrative announcements will appear at the top of the page in yellow boxes. The announcements will generally contain important information about the operation or maintenance of the myInvolvement site.
• My Memberships: This area shows the organizations you have joined on myInvolvement. Clicking on an organization will automatically redirect you to that organization’s page. This can be a quick and helpful way to navigate to an organization you are managing.
• Upcoming Events: Events created on myInvolvement will automatically be added to the Upcoming Events board (as permissions allow).
• Latest News: At the bottom of the myInvolvement home page, users can see thumbnails of recent news articles created on myInvolvement. Clicking on a thumbnail will open the full news article. All new articles will automatically appear in the news section (as permissions allow).
• Campus Links: Links to additional McGill resources can be found on the bottom left window of the page.
• Paths: Users can view the Paths in which they are enrolled. See 4.1 Paths.
  • Note: This menu will only appear if you are enrolled in a Path.

2. Events

All events created on myInvolvement can be found on the EVENTS page (as permissions allow).

Events can be discovered in a variety of ways, such as by keyword, date, theme, category, or perks.

Filters are found on the left side in a “drop-down” format:

3. Organizations

All active organizations appear on the ORGANIZATION page.

Organizations are listed alphabetically and can be narrowed by category or searched by keywords. 

4. News

All news articles posted on myInvolvement can be found on the NEWS page.

News articles can be searched by keywords.
